Mujeres Adelante is a non-profit organization dedicated to
empowering underserved women in Merced County. Our mission is to equip these women with vital skills, resources,
and support, empowering them to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. We are committed to breaking
the cycle of generational hardship and trauma by investing in children’s education and fostering a safe, nurturing
environment that promotes their holistic growth. We believe that supporting women creates a ripple effect, driving
positive change and fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

Services

At Mujeres Adelante, we offer the following:

Establishing Support Groups:

Mujeres Adelante organizes regular support group meetings designed to bring parents together to share their experiences, address common challenges, and exchange practical advice. We offer tailored groups focused on specific needs, including single parenting, parents of children with special needs, and parents in low-income households, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.
Partnering With Local Organizations:

In collaboration with local schools, healthcare providers, and other community organizations, Mujeres Adelante works to identify and meet the unique needs of parents within our community. These partnerships enable us to coordinate services, pool resources, and provide families with comprehensive support.
Connecting Parents With Resources:

Mujeres Adelante has developed a centralized resource directory with information on local services, financial assistance programs, and educational opportunities. This directory serves as a one-stop resource, helping parents quickly and easily access the tools and support they need to strengthen their families.
Gathering & Distributing Donations:

Mujeres Adelante actively manages the collection and distribution of donated goods, including food, clothing, school supplies, winter coats, and other essentials. Through this service, we ensure that underserved individuals and families in our community have access to the basic items they need to enhance their quality of life and meet daily challenges with dignity.
